ProWorks software enables users to author & distribute WI’s more efficiently than the standard Office tools that are most commonly used. The application is geared towards creating rich content with graphical information (pictures & video) and because it is built on an SQL database, it acts as a central repository to store and retrieve all manufacturing related data. Unlike information stored in flat files,
ProWorks’ database allows for a true multi-user concurrent operation environment.
Information flow is bidirectional versus the typical downstream model. Workers can interact and provide comments or observations to help drive continuous improvement. All failures and non-conformances are recorded along with shop floor performance metrics and stored within the database for operational analysis. ProWorks can share data with ERP/MES/PLM systems to minimize data duplication and insure the information on the shop floor is accurate and up to date.
ProWorks’ built-in revision history and approval controls make it an excellent tool for supporting quality initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, ISO or Regulatory Compliance requirements commonly found in the aerospace, military, and medical device industries.
