Additional Product Information
ShopBrowser eliminates the need for distributing paper or electronic 'fill-out-the-form' work instructions by displaying fully detailed instructions built from reusable shared objects in the CIMx Manufacturing Data Management (MDM) system. These data objects for such common items as tools, N/C files, quality characteristics, standard instructions, sketches, videos, etc. are retrieved automatically by ShopBrowser and are, displayed using HTML on the shop floor client. HTML and JAVA are used to dynamically configure the display to make best use of screen 'real estate'. Standard browser plug-ins are used to display MDM objects including audio files, videos, digital photos, documents and 3-D CAD models. ShopBrowser uses thin/ultra-thin client technology. Shop floor clients can be either personal computers (PCs) or low-cost network computers (NCs). Using exclusive CIMx MDM technology, data collection screens can be automatically generated from quality planning objects defined by qualityplanners.
