CV-Schedule, along with your word processor program, is a complete application for:
* Maintaining databases of church volunteers along with their
scheduling preferences
* Maintaining databases of Ministries or activities, such as Ushers,
Readers, etc., to be scheduled
* Maintaining databases of Regular, weekly Services or Masses along
with the number of volunteers required from each Ministry at each
Service or Mass
* Maintaining databases of Special Services or Masses, such as
Christmas, Ascension, etc., along with the number of volunteers
required from each Ministry at each Service or Mass
* Automatically creating and printing Schedules and Sign-In sheets in
accordance with the information stored in the databases.
* Maintaining backup copies of the database files
The scheduling of volunteers is done using a flexible set of rules that can be customized to fit the requirements of your Church and of individual volunteers. Scheduling options available for each volunteer and family include:
* Avoid splitting the family between 2 Masses/Services on any weekend
* Always serve together as a Family Ministry
* Serve together as a Family Ministry whenever convenient
* Baby-sitter option: Husband and wife will not be scheduled together
* Serve every week
* Serve more often or less often than normal
* "Unavailable" dates
* "Must schedule" dates
CV-Schedule can schedule volunteers for:
* Regular Saturday and Sunday Masses/Services
* Weekday Masses/Services
* Special Masses/Services such as Christmas Day, Ascension, etc.
* Any other events that occur on a regular weekly schedule or on a
one-time basis
* Ministry sub-groups such as Lector I and Lector II, or Head Usher
and regular Usher
This program gives you Schedules and Sign-In Sheets that are ready to view and print using your word processor and computer printer. There is no need to transfer information by hand to a paper form.
CV-Schedule will work for Catholic or Protestant Churches or other organizations. The names of your Church meetings (Mass, Service, etc.) and Ministry or activity names can be fully customized.
A Database Manager is integrated with CV-Schedule to create and manage the databases used: Ministry Database, Mass/Service Database, Personnel Database, and Formats Database. Up to four Database Sets can be used to compile four separate schedules. For example, you could have separate schedules for weekend Services or Masses, weekday
Masses or Services, winter schedule, summer schedule, prayer meetings, Bible study, etc.
A 50 page instruction manual is included as a word processor file that you can print using your word processor program and printer. The manual has complete instructions for using CV-Schedule and includes many examples and help sections.
