ControlDraw is a word and diagram processor and a database for the production of detailed life cycle documentation such a Functional, Design and Test Specifications. You can also use it to generate complete tag databases for DCS and PLC/SCADA systems.
It looks like a drawing program and it is, but it is as much a database. Careful construction of a model - the diagrams, the links between them, the words and the associated data, can be used to produce a complete specification for a large process control system.
