Team members can view their task assignments across multiple projects in their web browsers, using a familiar timecard metaphor. They can input actual hours on tasks and provide new estimates of the required effort to finish their tasks. Managers can review and approve team member inputs and automatically update their PS8 project plans.

PC-Inform integrates seamlessly with PS8 and provides many benefits for the project managers and the team members. It enables project team members to communicate schedule status to the project manager without being directly connected to the project management system. , Easily track everyone's progress , By electronically collecting actual hours worked and remaining estimates from team members, the project manager can evaluate, approve (or question), track and reallocate work assignments faster and more accurately - all before updating the project database. The updated task status is then integrated into the appropriate projects. Schedules are automatically updated with the actual hours worked. So, your PS8 plans depict the latest cost and schedule information. , PC-Inform sets up a database and provides the means for PS8 to export to the database lists of resources (team members), scheduled tasks, assignments of resources to tasks, and planned work times for these assignments. Team members use the component called Project Communicator - WebTeam (PC-WebTeam) to display their assigned tasks and enter progress and other information. , If you use the Critical Chain methodology, PC-Inform adjusts the team display to emphasize the input of remaining effort for task updating and actual effort for history analysis. In keeping with Critical Chain theory, planned task hours are not displayed. , PC-Inform can be installed to use most ODBC compatible databases including Microsoft Access, Oracle, Sybase SQL Server, and Microsoft SQL Server. The web-based Team interface works with Netscape 3.0, Internet Explorer 3.0, and later browsers.
