"In the summer of 1999 I was a customer of InterAct. Northampton County was coming off a really bad CAD system from another vender. Shortly after we went live on the InterAct system Hurricane Floyd come through. We had 10 positions of CAD and 4 Admin positions. We went from a normal call volume of 300 to 400 calls a day to 1900+ calls in 16 hours. We had ten 9-1-1 phone lines and 12 non emergency lines. As soon as you would hang up a line it was ringing again. The InterAct CAD software performed flawlessly. The previous vender’s software would not have made it. This has always stuck with me.
