It provides federal, county, regional, and state-wide networking and telecommunications capabilities. NCIC interface functions can also be used by mobile data systems.;SafetyNet Message Switch Interface includes the following features:;Seamless integration with SafetyNet CAD and SafetyNet RMS ;System security and access control;Multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional support;Federal, County, Regional or State-wide networking and telecommunications capabilities;Automatically runs vehicle queries on traffic stops in SafetyNet CAD;SafetyNet Message Switch Interface provides support for numerous communications protocols, including proprietary asynchronous protocols, synchronous protocols such as Bisync, and network protocols such as TCP/IP.;Where appropriate, SafetyNet Message Switch Interface includes full terminal emulation capabilities so that formatted screens on dedicated terminals are reproduced identically on any terminal or workstation.
