Protek's Customer Care and Billing is a truly convergent system that supports voice, data, content, value added and e-commerce services transmitted over wireless (AMPS, GSM, GPRS, UMTS), wireline, broadband networks as well as virtual network operators and Internet Service Providers. The modular and scalable nature of Protek's Customer Care and Billing makes it perfectly suited for mature operators as well as for small and start-up communication providers. Protek's Customer Care and Billing key features ?h Event Collection and Rating Protek's Customer Care and Billing enables collection and rating of event records received from the network elements in real-time and batch mode. The rating engine supports multiple rating parameters, including volume of data, bandwidth used and Quality of Service (QoS). Multi-party billing functionality allows operators to price a single event in different ways and engage in complex value chain relationships. ?h Tariff Management The Tariff Management module supports flexible definition of tariff plans at GUI level, enabling service providers to rapidly roll out innovative and competitive services and products. The system supports hierarchical tariff structure with user tariff plans defined by inheritance from the Master tariff plan. With Protek's Customer Care and Billing operators can apply multiple charging strategies and offer its clients a wide range of flexible discounts. ?h Bill generation and delivery Protek's Customer Care and Billing supports multiple billing cycles and can issue both regular and ad hoc reports. With Protek's solution operators can present charges for various services on a single bill with customisable layout and in multiple languages and currencies. The product also provides flexible tax configuration. ?h Customer Care The system features comprehensive customer care functionality allowing service providers to offer world-class customer service. N-tier customer hierarchy helps model complex corporate structure and provide differentiated services, tariffs and discounts on all levels of such hierarchies. The trouble ticket functionality enables operators to respond to customer queries quickly and efficiently, while web-enabled self-care empowers customers to receive full customer service online. ?h Order Management The Order Management functionality allows service providers to capture and validate customer orders and to track the fulfilment process by interacting with service activation subsystem and automatically confirming the provisioning of service orders on network elements. ?h Mediation and Service Activation This module provides a single point of interface between business support systems and the network. It facilitates quick rollout and charging for new services and simplifies changes in network size. Protek's solution provides interfaces to multiple network elements and performs online conversion of event records into a universal Virtual Switch Driver (VSD) format.
