System solutions utilizing standard GENERIS EDMS modules are designed for the tasks of network operators, balance coordinators and electricity retailers. In addition, GENERIS EDMS can be configured equally well for the balance management of any other energy sector such as heat and gas. Primary business functions handled by the GENERIS EDMS is processing of measurement data, balance settlement calculations, b-2-b communication between market parties and data related to customers and their invoicing.
GENERIS Energy Data Management (EDM) -concept is designed to support daily routines, where large data quantities are processed. With GENERIS EDM modifications and updates of mass data such as measurement and customer data can be managed automatically and manual operations are needed only for task configuration and error handling. Modules of GENERIS EDM have autoconfigurable interfaces for automatic measurement data acquisition from AMR and for automatic customer data exchange with the CIS. Autoconfigurability is also applied to input balance calculation and reporting data (MS Excel, EDIFACT/EDIEL) enabling automatic update of calculations and reports.
GENERIS EDMS supports profile calculations according to local practices, such as the synthetic and advanced analytical methods specified by German VDEW. In addition to the currently used standard load profile curves, new profiles can be imported into the system and used for profile calculations.
GENERIS EDMS sets no technical limits to scalability.
