Product Characteristics:;The product is an application developed under the SICAD/open Software (NT). It supports registration, query, maintanance and calculation features of the middle level voltage network. The calculation can be done outside the SICAD application in SINCAL (Siemens Network Calculation) and there is an offline connection between them for the communication.;
;The general system requirements are listed here:;;
- Windows NT 4.0 or higher;
- SICAD/open (NT) V5.0 or higher;
- SINCAL V3.5. (NT);
- Oracle for Windows NT (or UNIX);;
;Functional Description:;;
- registration of the following objects:alteration node, line (0.4kV, 10 kV, 20kV, 30kV, 120kV), transformer station with transformers, trench, ;substation with busbars and outlets as well as their connection lines, switch;
- user friendly query forms for each object-type;
- graphical selection of elements by clicking, specifying rectangular or polygon area;
- selection of different elements by their alpha data (a criterion may be specified in a dialog mask which substitutes the awkward SQL command);
- selection of supplied area from substations or their outlets;
- separate databases for basemaps of different scales, quality and accuracy (one for the cities and another one for the county);
- also full useable with overview basemap;
- separate database for network;
- arbitrarily overlay-possibilities between the databases (networkÛbasemaps);
- user login with different grants (read-only or read-write modes);
- areas to be read with modify purpose are locked automatically (no one else can modify them until their releasing);
- temporary saving possibilities (quick saving) beside the normal database saving;
- possibilities of restoring a network-area as it was read from the database or as it was (temporary) saved last time;
- export of an user specified network-area into SINCAL;
- network calculation in SINCAL (e.g. load-flow calculation);
- temporary coloring of some objects (mostly lines) of the active area for making nice prints;
- print facilities by part of the work area: map, mapsheet ;
- ability to turn mapsheet borders on/off in different factors (1:1000, 1:2000, 1:4000, 1:10000, 1:25000, 1:50000 and 1:100000) on the map;

- making lists from all kinds of objects into screen and in delimited form into outer file for post-processing of that in different tablesheet programs.;

- separate substation editor (unfolds and zooms substation, separate menu);
- loading and saving work area with user defined name (in read-only mode) for temporary modification of the work area making it suitable for plotting;

- tablet mode is supported in digitizing;
