Handheld Data Collection through the use of handheld devices offers an alternative to paper. Interfacing with LV TAPS, schedule and run route data is downloaded to the hand held terminal, the sampler can enter on-site sample data directly into the HHT where it is stored until the device is placed into the docking station in sample reception, data is then transferred to LV TAPS. , This system provides for automatic data entry, date & time stamping and on-site validation. Simple operation reduces time delays and minimises errors or confusion on results. Optional bar code scan facilities built into the hand held terminal offers the security of ensuring that samples scan the correct sample point bar code. This not only ensures that the sample actually visits the site, but that the samples are taken from the correct sample point. , The key advantage is the reduction of data errors and the improved efficency in the management of the mobile sample collection process.
