FormRules by Intelligensys Ltd.

1.35 - What's this?

FormRules is a data mining tool for product formulators. It takes the user's experimental data via a spreadsheet, and extracts rules in the form IF...AND...THEN, with associated confidence levels. FormRules enables formulators to see immediately which inputs affect each of the properties of their formulation, and how to change these to produce improved formulations.

Additional Product Information

FormRules 'mines' experimental data gathered for product formulation, to produce models and rules that describe the cause-and-effect relationships in the system. It has been validated on a range of product formulation problems ranging from pharmaceuticals to paints and coatings. Data are input via a spreadsheet, or by importing a tab-delimited file. FormRules then uses an implementation of neurofuzzy logic which develops 'parsimonious' models, enabling the simplest and clearest possible rules. Many possible models are investigated, and the best are chosen automatially for further investigation. ANOVA statistics are integrated, to enable users to assess the validity of the models that have been developed. Graphical display of the cause-and-effect relationships, together with a full listing of the rules, is available to the user. A full range of statistical and graphical tools allows the user to explore their data, and the results from their modelling.
