Spectral Server is a client/server software system that uses Microsoft Windows NT Server and an Oracle or SQL Server database for storing and searching all types of analytical laboratory data. Nearly any kind of spectroscopy and chromatography data can be integrated into the Spectral Server database, from individual data files collected in your lab to commercial spectral libraries. Since all the data is located on a single server, it can be made available to everyone in the lab, the R&D department, or even the entire company.;You can access the Spectral Server database from your local computer using a "client" software application such as Galactic?s Spectral ID, the upcoming Spectral DB software, or even a web browser, as seen in Spectra Online. These applications allow you to search, query and browse the database to locate nearly any piece of information or data. Once the desired data is located, it can be retrieved from the database for further processing with helper applications such as GRAMS/32 Version 5, or Acorn NMR?s NUTS software.;In addition to managing all the spectral and chromatographic data, Spectral Server can be configured to link up with LIMS and chemical structure database systems as well. By combining the presentation of the data from these normally disconnected systems, you can get a complete picture of all the information available on the samples analyzed.
