Creates a mirror of networked or local folders, duplicates files and directories.
Idem monitors the selected source files for changes, updates or additions and automatically copies the new or changed files to their target destinations.
It can check and copy the files and folders security informations (ACL permissions - access-control lists on NTFS partitions) and the files and folders attributes (hidden, system, archive, etc.) during synchronization tasks.

You can optionnaly run it as a Windows NT/2000 service.

This solution for important folders synchronization from a Windows server toward another, checks a list of source folders at regular time interval and updates target folders with new or modified files.

Idem is distinguishable from other mirroring or clustering products by its ability to fully preserve Macintosh filenames and structures when stored on a Windows NT/2000 server.

It can be used to create a mirror for disaster recovery or to backup files. You can use Idem to synchronize a laptop on a network and for real-time mirroring of folders on ZIP drive, CD-RW, removable hard disk, network drives, local hard disk. Idem can check and copy the files and folders security informations (ACL permissions - access-control lists on NTFS partitions) and the files and folders attributes (hidden, system, archive, etc.) Option to rename moved Macintosh files, substituting a dash to the forbidden Windows characters in their names.
