Virtual Data Recovery (VDR) allows users to vault virtual tape data without the need for virtual tape libraries at the vault or D/R site. VDR reduces vaulted media, media handling costs & vault storage costs by consolidating virtual application backups. Single or duplex backup copies can be generated and VDR generates JCL that recover data in-place (without data movement), to tape media, or directly to disk.
