Synchronicity
Synchronicity provides one step integration & synchronization between multiple directories: NDS,NT,AD,Exchange,Notes & Unix/Linux. It automates cross-directory replication of user/group accounts and passwords. Also a perfect migration tool--populate data in new directory without losing data in the original.

Additional Product Information
THE PRODUCT Synchronicity simply and quickly proliferates data among NDS, Windows NT, Active Directory (Windows 2000), Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and NetWare 3. It automates cross-directory replication of user/group accounts, resource objects, and security features such as passwords. Scheduling is also an option, so network managers can make the product as automatic or as manual as they see fit. And migration from one directory to another is easy and risk-free. You can populate a new directory without losing data in the old one. So you can change your mind without paying dearly for your indecision. Surprisingly, Synchronicity does not require learning new interfaces or performing network overhauls. And it is the only one step, scalable product available because directory changes are communicated directly with each native platform and without having to convert data or search directories before changes are made. This quick, inexpensive, and non-intrusive approach makes it possible to extend rather than replace existing directory infrastructures. Organizations can maintain the status quo or migrate as they see fit. They are not forced to make hasty decisions on future strategic directory choices. THE BENEFITS For the sake of user productivity and network administrator sanity, organizations need data consis-tency across the enterprise. With Sychronicity, this is accomplished with ease. It automates data replication and password policy enforcement, with changes propagated based on predetermined business rules. Synchronicity uses standard, publicly available APIs so that synchronization is achieved in the background, transparently and without fuss. Any tool that administers user accounts may be used to make changes, including Novell's NetWare Administrator (NWAdmin). This means there's nothing new to learn. And no new clients are required. Synchronicity works with any vendors' client network software. In essence, Synchronicity enables network managers to guarantee fast, managed, and predictable syn-chronization of information across directories without a long rollout process or expensive, custom-designed solutions. Consider the alternative: installation of a metadirectory or a directory redirection approach, either of which could take months or years of costly work by consultants or systems integrators. Directories are fast becoming essential tools for organization and management of network operating systems, services, applications, and users. However, as networks become more complex and directories proliferate, a major concern in enterprises everywhere is management of all those directories. Directories are supposed to reduce the workload of network administrators, but if directories aren't continuously synchronized across the enterprise, it defeats one of the major purposes of the directory: management streamlining. With more and more organizations migrating toward Windows 2000 and Active Directory, and with many already using Novell Directory Services (NDS) and also network applications that have their own directories, directory synchronization is only going to become a more critical issue. Directory migration, too. Synchronicity is the solution on both counts.
