Additional Product Information

The Enterprise version extends the data trader (see there) with;remotely initiated file transfer, an interface to the FTP protocol,;web monitoring, and log viewing through a standard web browser.;The data trader client for Windows 9x and NT/2000 has been;enhanced with a new utility, which provides for file transfers per;drag'n'drop between data trader servers, FTP servers, and the local;environment.;With data trader Enterprise it is possible to trigger a transfer;between two remote computers of any platform supported by the data;trader. If connected through TCP/IP, the remote computers may be;located at any distance from each other.;In the data trader Enterprise File Browser, the file system of two;remote computers can be mapped. A file transfer then takes place;simply by selecting a file and dragging it onto the other computer.;The data is then automatically adjusted to comply with the file;system of the target computer. Example:;With data trader Enterprise, at your Windows NT located in, say,;Chicago, you can command a file to be transferred directly from an;OS/390 in London to an OS/400 in Hong Kong. The file systems of both;remote locations are mapped in your local file browser. With the;mouse, you just drag and drop the desired file, which goes directly;remote to remote location.;Of course, the result of the transfer can be remotely monitored.;The system status and log entries can be browsed with any web;browser. The Enterprise version includes all functions of the basic;data trader version (see there).
