SPECTRUM Alarm Notification Manager is an optional application available for SPECTRUM. It permits alarm monitoring with policy-based filtering to reduce the number of alarms that operators need to view in order to isolate a fault, and also provides alarm integration across multiple SpectroSERVERs. ;Alarm Notification Manager's Policy Administrator allows a point-and-click user interface to define very detailed alarm filtering policies. This filtering reduces the number of alarms that applications must process, making it possible to define multiple filters for a single application. When SPECTRUM Alarm Notification Manager is used with SPECTRUM's Scheduler, the user can automatically define filters, which can in turn change the behavior of the application at certain times of the day or week.;SPECTRUM Alarm Notification Manager's uniqueness derives from the patented Inductive Modeling Technology present in SPECTRUM.This intelligence pinpoints the cause of the alarm, such as when SPECTRUM suppresses alarms from unreachable devices in a switch error situation.
