About Ron Turley Associates;The Company and Business Philosophy;Ron Turley spent 17 years with United Parcel Service (UPS). Ron started with UPS as a mechanic and worked through the ranks to become the National Fleet Manager. Ron was instrumental in establishing and overseeing the development of the fleet software for UPS. The software's periodic enhancements are results of customer recommendations, industry changes, or new technology. RTA averages two updates a year. These updates and enhancements are included in our customers annual support fee bringing our users current with all the new features. ;The vehicle inventory section contains all your fleet information. History, current vehicle status, and scheduled maintenance are instantly available. When a service is performed, the computer instantly updates the vehicle file. Schedule future service and resets PM meters. Shop, labor, parts, tires, fuel, warranties, per mile, and a wide variety of other costs are readily available to save money. The RTA software simplifies inventory control. Ordering parts is easy when you view your inventory through the RTA software. The software automatically tracks parts cost, stock levels, vendor performance and history. RTA will decrement parts used on work orders from inventory and generate requisitions based on your actual parts usage. The software will track warranty parts, give you failure statistics, quantity used, price history, and includes a variety of useful reports. The RTA software is bar code ready.;The tire section of RTA tracks your tire maintenance costs from "cradle to grave". Included are all the appropriate reports in assessing tire performance. ;The work order section gives you the power to control "service and repair" work. Planning and scheduling PM's become an easy part of your operation. Work orders can be created in advance or entered after the work is done. The use of templates and part kits makes data entry more efficient. When parts and labor are posted to a work order, repair history is updated, parts are deducted from inventory, PM meters are updated and reset, customer invoices are created, mechanic productivity is adjusted all automatically from within the system.;The fueling section of RTA gives you the ability to control fuel inventory and consumption. RTA will track fuel delivered to or used from each tank and dispensed from each pump, as well as fuel purchased on the road. Fuel taxes are automatically calculated from fuel tickets. The computer calculates updates to the vehicle cost per mile as fueling entries are made. Miles and gallons are used to update PM schedules and to provide information for vehicle cost reports.;Risk Management is a large concern in a fleet's operation. The RTA software notifies the shop when preventative maintenance is to be performed. This ensures that proper maintenance is performed at the appropriate scheduled times. Adhering to a timely maintenance schedule, noting reason repairs are performed, driver's reports, and performing regular routine inspections, create a strong case in disproving maintenance neglect allegations. The work gets done and properly noted, reducing the chance of negligent mechanical failure. If mechanical failure occurs, the detailed records are documented proving that negligence cannot be established.
