TransTrack consists of a module for contract management to register and monitor the services (collections & deliveries of items) for customers of a transport company. Based upon the contracts and user parameters routes are generated within the planning module. The routes can be altered now for a specific date or weekday. , The route data including all visits and services during the route can be send to a handheld device (e.g. DAT400/500, Opticom scanners) to take on the route by the vehicle crew. Within the scanner the functionality is available to do collections & deliveries, extra visits, receipt printing, ATM specific actions and much more. All actual (time/date) data is registered during the route. At return to the starting depot the data is fed back into the TransTrack backoffice software and the planned routes & services can be compared with the actual performed actions during a route., Additional features of TransTrack:, - Graphical user interface, - Interface (gateway) for base data from ERP systems, - Depot-to-depot large shipments (trunking) functionality, - Transport for third party (e.g. banks) functionality including data exchange for base data, route data and barcoded item data, - Sorting by using the (handheld) scanner, - Re-packing barcoded items, - Automatic onward movements, - Smoke and dye cases, - Permant container support, - Resource management, - Management reports, - Exchange with Office and Business Intelligence tools, - Archiving, Currently the solution is used in the U.K., Norway, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and Austria., The concept of the solution supports a generic way of moving and tracing barcoded items through logistic centres and by transporting.
