ASNA's Impacta for AVR is an impact analysis tool for fixed format and Caviar AVR 4.0 programs. Impacta takes the mystery out of managing your AVR executables, DLLs and OCXs. For programmers, Impacta identifies program dependences (such as what program uses what file). For network managers, Impacta helps resolve existing and avoid new deployment problems.

Object-level impact analysis
ASNA's Impacta uses AVR executables to update a repository of program information. This repository lives in a database that can be hosted (at your desire) on the iSeries/400, Microsoft's SQL Server and ASNA own local PC and Win Server databases. Impacta provides what you need to automatically refresh its repository?there is no manual intervention required to refresh its repository.
Starting with AVR 4.0, AVR executables have lots of programming information embedded in them. After checking a project into Impacta, its repository is populated with project information. This information is not dependent on source?thus Impacta works even if you don't have source code!
Note that Impacta isn't a source-decompiler and your customers won't be able to use Impacta to reconstruct program source. Impacta was originally aimed exclusive at developers?and it's developers who will find most of Impacta's information most helpful. However, because Impacta works from AVR executables rather than source, it's a handy ally for network administrators as well.

ASNA's Impacta is an AVR programmer utility that helps programmers solve myriad programming problems. For example, Impacta inventories:
?Physical and logical files - Identifies the physical and logical files that any given EXE, DLL or OCX uses.
