ecBeans is a set of Java-based components that provides the common functionality required for any E-commerce site be it, Business to Business or Business to Consumer. ecBeans can be deployed on any J2EE application server platforms and are designed to be reliable, highly available, and scalable. ;The ecBeans suite consists of a set of CORE-ecBeans and application-specific APP-ecBeans. ;CORE-ecBeans provides a basic but rich functionality that underlines the enterprise.com application platform. Not only does this set of core utilities provide a ready foundation on which to implement customised enterprise.com applications, it also provides a common application integration platform for all these applications. This means that all applications would have a common understanding of enterprise concepts such as Employees, Customers, Workflow and so on. In addition, the ecBeans platform can provide a focus for integration of all enterprise systems.;APP-ecBeans provides application-specific components of ready applications that can be deployed on the ecBeans platform. Using the common CORE-ecBeans, all APP-ecBeans applications are automatically integrated with other compliant ecBeans applications.
