The XHEO|Licensing framework uses strong RSA® encryption to sign XML license files. Each license file can contain multiple licenses for multiple products in multiple assemblies. Each license in turn can define a varying set of restrictions on how the licensed Type can be used.
What’s new?
Implemented Source Code only integration
In version 2.1 of XHEO|Licensing it is much easier to include the licensing runtime source code directly into your assembly. This reduces the possibility of version conflicts with other vendors and improves design time deployment issues.
Key Concepts
For C# developers that want the highest possible integration with XHEO|Licensing you can include the source code directly into your project. By including the source code:
· You no longer need to distribute the Xheo.Licensing.dll assembly.
· You no longer need to worry about assembly versioning issues.
· The use of XHEO|Licensing is further hidden from hackers.
· You can obfuscate your code more completely since the licensing interfaces are all internal
Licensees with source code access to XHEO|Licensing can more easily integrate licensing directly into their assembly and avoid distributing the Xheo.Licensing.dll assembly separately. This also reduces versioning conflicts with other vendors that also use XHEO|Licensing to protect their projects.
Other new features
Activation HTML code added to web pages for the Pro and Universal editions is set to a fixed width since the "Protected By" logo is no longer displayed.
More usability enhancements.
