Additional Product Information
PL/B is a high level programming language. It is a very high performance language that in most cases outperforms databases in searching for information in files. It has built in ISAM and Associative file access techniques as well as client/server capabilities. It was the 1st language that was designed for multi-user access into files and requires no special processing to
enable multi user support. The language was originally developed around 1970 by Datapoint Corporation. The Sunbelt version has been continually updated and enhanced since the first version in 1980. PL/B is an ANSI standard language and the committee is known as the J15 language committee. The language now supports Automation, ActiveX, COM and has a true Client Server feature to greatly speed up File operations.
