Additional Product Information

;
- INTEGRATED ENVIRONMENT: True BASIC gives you multiple windows for your source code, output, commands, and the current value of variables. It will run both line-numbered and structured programs. ;
- BUILT-IN EDITOR: Text processing environment with menu or command-driven editing. Cut, copy, paste, find and change are supported. Has a built-in DO FORMAT utility to format your code into a clear, easy-to-read style. Opens and saves programs of any length (to limits of available memory).;
- BUILT-IN COMPILER: Compiles your source code into fast, compact b-code that runs across many operating systems without change. These still require the True BASIC Language System to run, but start much more quickly. Accommodates separately compiled libraries. Features automatic memory management, parameter type and syntax checking. Allows optional LET statement and declared variable names.;
- CREATE PROGRAMS FOR THE WEB: Includes DO programs to transform your compiled programs into TrueApps for easy exchange or posting to the Internet. TrueApps can be run with free WebBASIC Readers available from our website. TrueApps created on one operating system runs on other platforms without change.;
- GRAPHICS: Display BMP, PICT or JPEG art in your programs. You can also save graphics that are generated by True BASIC in BMP format (and PICT on MacOS machines). You can use art as buttons and/or program controls (library supplied). Plots points, lines, text, rectangles, ellipses and regions and provides custom color and matrix plotting capabilities.;
- CREATE OR USE PRE-WRITTEN LIBRARIES: Save time by creating modules or libraries that you can easily reuse in other programs. True BASIC also publishes thousands of sophisticated pre-written library routines that can be purchased and used in your programs.;
- ADVANCED FEATURES: Variables - Only two types; numbers and strings of unlimited length. You have complete control over the scope and variable type. Numbers - In True BASIC you only have to deal with ONE type of number. All numeric operations are carried internally in double-precision floating point arithmetic with precision up to 16 decimal places. Co-processors are supported. Structures - Multi-line conditional statements, DO loops, error handlers, and PICTURE structures for graphics.;
- MATRIX FEATURES: True BASIC's built-in matrix features supports up to 255 dimensions per array. The user can modify the upper and lower limits. String and number arrays are both supported and they are fully dynamic and resizeable. Input, output, inverse, and transposed matrix operations are provided.;
- DEBUGGING: A Error Window and Variable Window help you correct errors in your source code. Debugging mode can be turned on and off, and breakpoints can be inserted in your program.;
- GREAT VALUE: For less than $40 you can create powerful BASIC programs. When you are ready to move to the SILVER Edition, the full price you paid for Bronze can be applied toward that purchase! ;
