The Legacy eTrans-Formation (tm) Service is an automated Legacy Cobol
(and CoolGen) to full object Java transformation service. The transformed Java code is internet enabled and three tier architecture ready. All the information contained in the Cobol program (including data structure) is preserved through the transformation process and the transformed Java code is a functional equivalent of the original Cobol code. Cobol data items are transformed into structured Java data objects and Cobol procedure division sections and paragraphs are transformed into Java execution objects. The Java data and execution objects may be generated in either Java Bean or Enterprise Java Bean format. After transformation the Java code may be loaded into an Interactive Development Environment (IDE) for continuing maintenance.
This process results in a completely modernized and up to date object oriented system.
