Additional Product Information
QuickBugs is a tool for reporting, tracking and resolving bugs, issues, changes and new features involved in product development. QuickBugs can assist product development and maintenance by focusing effort on the tasks required to quickly and efficiently complete a project. Bugs are more quickly resolved using a well-defined workflow that can be fully customized by the organization.
Configuration data and bug reports created by QuickBugs Linux are saved in XML files. These files are compatible with the updated 1.0.1 version of QuickBugs Windows. Users on either platform can edit bug reports and configure custom views, queries and reports.
Key attributes include extreme ease-of-use and flexibility, a shared repository accessible to multiple users, multiple projects with assigned responsibilities, configurable access and privileges for users on each project. Virtually everything in QuickBugs is configurable to the organization and specific user needs including data collection fields, workflow, views, queries, reports, security and access control. QuickBugs implements cooperative clients of a shared repository of XML based data thereby eliminating the cost, complexity and overhead of an RDBMS. Given its XML based foundation, all bugs, views, queries, reports and configuration data are completely accessible to third party tools.
Managers, developers, testers and others involved in the development process can use QuickBugs to enter or retrieve the specific data they need to efficiently perform their jobs. Managers can assign work, estimate personnel workloads, track time required for project completion and determine release dates based on bug detection and resolution statistics. Developers can efficiently investigate and resolve problems that are categorized, prioritized and sorted to their specific needs. Testers can quickly generate bug reports, verify corrected problems or evaluate the efficiency of detection methods for locating new bugs. QuickBugs will automatically maintain the workflow, access control and history of each bug as it progresses through its lifecycle.
