Sawmill is a log analysis tool which can be used to analyze Web site traffic, proxy usage, ftp usage, and much more. Users can configure Sawmill and view statistics from any Web browser; Sawmill publishes an HTML interface by running either as a CGI program or using its built-in Web server. Major features include a high-performance persistent database for long-term tracking of statistics, sophisticated hierarchical data mining features to let you zoom in on exactly the piece of information you need, versatile log filters to discard data you don't need, extraordinarily customizable statistics pages, and many security features appropriate for use in a multi-user environment. Sawmill supports all major log formats.
