Alliance Series TCP/IP for the AS/400 provides a reliable, automated and secure AS/400 client/server communications interface for connecting PCs, workstations, and other hosts to an AS/400 via intranet and Internet TCP/IP networks. It is ideal for connecting Visual Basic, Access, C/C++, UNIX, WWW, and other applications to the AS/400 using standard TCP/IP communications. AS/400 programmers can easily integrate Alliance with their applications to make AS/400 data available to remote applications. Alliance includes support for the Secure Sockets Layer protocol for authenticated and encrypted sessions. Alliance provides all of the AS/400 communication services, data translation, and communications management services required for the application.
